Clubs Australia claim to have had meetings late last year with MPs supporting Kevin Rudd, with the aim of killing off mandatory pre-commitment for poker machines.
Rudd has responded with the threat of defamation proceedings against anyone suggesting he sent his people to talk to the industry.
